Kathleen Fitzgibbon, AVP – Administration was presented with the 3rd Quarter 2025 GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Award at Homefield Credit Union’s All Employee Meeting held late last week. Kathy was nominated for her consistent commitment to excellence in all that she does for this institution. Her duties are too numerous to count; but her nomination surrounded her enhancement of the Credit Union’s intranet site. Kathy is a brand ambassador beyond compare, has a keen eye for detail and a way with words that cannot be matched. She is the heart of our organization, and this award recognized her ongoing efforts to keep it running smoothly!
Also nominated for the GEM Award this quarter were Jenniffer Rodriguez • Universal Banker and Emily King • Human Resources Generalist.
Jenniffer was nominated after being approached by two different members in quick succession that had concerns regarding their accounts. Both situations were complicated and called for Jenniffer to think on her feet and make quick decisions to find solutions for our members. Jenniffer handled both situations in a professional, courteous manner.
Emily was nominated by several new employees to Homefield CU who complimented her on her efficiency during the onboarding process. The employees indicated that she was thoughtful, cheerful, and made what can be a daunting process very comfortable for them.
